展覧会概要
世界中の国々を訪れ、地球そのものをフィールドに活躍する写真家･高砂淳二(1962－)。
神秘的な海の中、遠く広がる大地、果てしない空、そこに息づく生物たちに出会う旅を続けています。
そして38年にわたり、カメラを通して自然が内包する不思議な世界を見つめていく中で、高砂氏はこう考えるようになったと言います。
「僕ら人間も他の様々な生き物同様に地球を構成する一つの大事な細胞として、今を生きている。
それぞれの生き物がピースのように絡み合って一つの地球という生命を成り立たせている。」
本展は、「海の声」「大地の声」「空の声」の3部で構成し、約100点の写真作品により地球の生きる姿を多角的に展覧します。地球温暖化等さまざまな環境問題を抱えるわたしたちは、多様な作品群から、地球のどのような声を聴くことができるでしょうか。ぜひご覧ください。 ※本展は、スマートフォン･携帯電話に限り、会場内写真撮影が可能です。
Photographer Junji Takasago (1962-present) has been touring countries all over the world while designating the entire Earth as the field of his business. There is no end to his journey to encounter the mystical environments under the sea, the vast sprawling land, the infinite sky, and the creatures inhabiting all those areas. Peering into the mysterious worlds embraced in nature through his camera for 38 years, Mr. Takasago states an idea has come to his mind:
"We, humanity, are living in the present as one of the important cells constituting the Earth like various other living creatures. Respective living creatures are intertwined with one another as pieces to make the Earth, a single life, possible."
This exhibition is comprised of the three sectors of "Voices of Sea," "Voices of Land," and "Voices of Sky," featuring about 80 photography works to portray the Earth as a living body from a range of aspects. What kind of voice of the Earth can we hear from a trove of photos, now that we are facing various environmental issues, such as global warming, these days? We hope you all enjoy this great opportunity.

写真家。1962 年、宮城県石巻市生まれ。ダイビング専門誌の専属カメラマンを経て 1989 年に独立。世界中の国々を訪れ、地球そのものをフィールドに活躍している。ザルツブルグ博物館、ニコンプラザ･THE GALLERY、東京ミッドタウンフジフイルムスクエア、コニカミノルタプラザなど写真展多数開催。 2008 年には、外務省主催･太平洋島サミット記念写真展「Pacific Islands」を担当。 TBS「情熱大陸」、NHK「SWITCHインタビュー」をはじめ、テレビ、ラジオ、雑誌等のメディアや講演会等で、自然のこと、自然と人間の関係、人間の役割などを伝え続けている。自然写真の世界最高峰といわれる「Wildlife photographer of the year 2022」“自然芸術性” 部門において最優秀賞を受賞。写真集も多数出版されている。

[Artist's Biography]
Junji Takasago is a photographer. He was born in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. After wielding his camera exclusively for a diving magazine, Takasago established Takasago Photography Office in 1989. With the entire globe as his work field, he shoots his way around the world capturing moments in nature. Exhibitions of his works have been held at the Salzburg Museum, Nikon THE GALLERY, Tokyo Midtown Fuji Film Square, and Konica Minolta Plaza, to name a few. In 2008, he was appointed to the Pacific Islands Summit commemoration photo exhibition “Pacific Islands,” hosted by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Takasago makes appearances on a wide range of media, including not only TBS's "Jonetsu Tairiku" (Continent Enthusiasm), NHK's "Switch Interview," and other TV shows, but also radio programs, magazines, and speeches, so that he can continue to communicate his thoughts on nature, the relationships between nature and humans, and the roles humans should play. He won the Natural Artistry Award at the WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2022 hosted by the Natural History Museum, London, one of the most prestigious photography awards in the world. He has had many photo books published, too.
Takasago was appointed Kizuna Ambassador for Miyagi Prefecture, Ishinomaki City Tourism Ambassador for Miyagi Prefecture. He serves as a director at the Oceanic Wildlife Society, an NPO for marine conservation.
